Nalanda Academy promotes sports as an essential part of student development, organizing activities twice a year. During summer, students actively participate in various team games such as football, basketball, and volleyball, fostering teamwork, coordination, and physical fitness. In winter, the focus shifts to athletics and indoor games, providing students with opportunities to explore different sports. Athletics events like running, long jump, and relay races enhance endurance and agility, while indoor games such as chess, table tennis, and carrom encourage mental engagement and strategic thinking. Unlike summer team games, winter sports are played without a points system, emphasizing participation, enjoyment, and overall well-being rather than competition. Every student is encouraged to take part, ensuring inclusivity and a positive sports culture. Nalanda Academy believes that sports instill discipline, perseverance, and a lifelong passion for physical fitness.
